Setanta staying with Carlton

Setanta O'hAilpin
Setanta O hAilpin won't be returning to Ireland any time soon after signing a two-year extension on his contract with Aussie Rules side Carlton. The Cork man's AFL career looked to be in some doubt when he was involved in a high-profile training ground bust-up with team-mate Cameron Cloke eight months ago. But the former Young Hurler of the Year has redeemed himself so successfully that he has secured another contract. Carlton's Steven Icke said the key to the Cork man's successful return after a four-match suspension was the correct diagnosis of a leg injury. "Once he got his body right, he proved what a valuable player he is to us. He was just frustrated with his body," Icke said. O hAilpin played 12 senior games this season, but missed the Blues' elimination final loss to Brisbane due to injury.
