"We're ready for it" - Noel O'Leary
Noel O'Leary believes Cork are ready to become All Ireland Champions.
The Rebels have contested three finals since they last lifted Sam Maguire back in the double year of 1990 and come out losers in all three.
That included a hammering by Kerry in 2007 when the Kingdom scored three goals on the way to a 3-13 to 1-09 win.
O'Leary was in the the Cork starting fifteen that day, having been cleared to play after an altercation with Meath's Graham Geraghty in the semi-final threatened his participation.
He's not looking back on that defeat however and told TV3 News that the Rebels have moved on.
"We would feel that we're ready for it. We genuinely feel we're ready for it. It's a matter of producing it on the day and please god everything will go right for us."
The wing back also believes the players have to make the most of the opportunity.
"They don't come around too often. We've been down this road before. We know what defeat is like. We'll be hoping to change that around the next day. You grab it while you've got it. We'll be trying to grab it with both hands."
