Vaughan's Dublin future in doubt

Dublin's Mark Vaughan
Speculation is mounting that Mark Vaughan won't play for Dublin again this season.
The 23-year-old attacker has not featured yet in the championship because of a back injury, and has played only 15 minutes of football under Pat Gilroy due to his involvement in Kilmacud Crokes' march to the All-Ireland club title. That was against Westmeath in the final round of the NFL at Parnell Park in April.
He was sent for scans shortly after that game to try to solve the problem that has plagued him for the past two years. Vaughan left the panel for a number of weeks to try undergo an intensive course of physiotherapy and rehabilitation to try to get back to fitness.
But after returning to the squad a few weeks ago, rumours have been circulating in recent days that he has been dropped again and will not play any part in the remainder of Dublin's All-Ireland campaign.
