Quirke taking nothing for granted

Cork keeper Alan Quirke
Cork goalkeeper Alan Quirke is refusing to underestimate Limerick ahead of Sunday's Munster SFC final.
The Rebels are being touted as leading All-Ireland contenders following their impressive replay victory over Kerry last time out but, according to Quirke, their lucky escape against Limerick last year will not allow for any complacency on Sunday.
Cork looked beaten until two late goals from Graham Canty and Daniel Goulding snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
"I thought we were gone," Quirke recalls.
"Going into injury-time, we were three points down. It looked very bad.
"Conor McCarthy came on as a substitute and he managed to strip a fella of possession as he was coming out of their defence, and we got a lucky goal.
"I think that shocked Limerick a small bit and we followed it up with another relatively lucky goal. We were extremely relieved to get out of there. They had played us off the pitch that day.
"Great credit to them. It will be very, very similar the next day. To be fair to Limerick after that game, they showed that they are a serious team. They gave Meath a good whipping and probably should have been Kildare, who are now potential Leinster champions."
