Fears that Kildare corner back Hugh McGrillen suffered a serious foot injury in last Saturday's Leinster SFC semi-final rout of Laois have been allayed. The Celbridge clubman was replaced during the second half of the Tullamore tie, but it has since emerged that he was only taken off as a precaution. McGrillen has made a big impact in what is his debut season with the Lilywhites, and it will come as relief to manager Kieran McGeeney that he will be fit to face Dublin in the Leinster final on Sunday week.
