More than six hours of GAA programming
Two Provincial Finals exclusively live
Draw for 2nd Round Football Qualifiers
First of four part GAA Documentary Series "Part of What We Are"
TV3 marks the first of the year's GAA's Provincial Finals with Silverware Sunday on 5 July. TV3 will broadcast more than six and half hours of GAA programming beginning with the first of a four part GAA Documentary series "Part of What We Are" at 11.55am.
The live action begins from 1pm with the build up from Pairc Ui Chaoimh for the Munster Senior Football Final between Cork and Limerick, throw-in at 2. Then the focus switches straight to Croke Park for the Leinster Senior Hurling Final just before 4pm, as Dublin take on Kilkenny.
Finally, at 6pm, GAA President Cristóir Ó Cuana and TV3's Senan Connell make the draw for the 2nd Round Football Qualifiers.
TV3 Sports Editor, Kieran Holden said: "Silverware Sunday is a significant day for TV3 as we broadcast two live games back to back for the first time in our history. We are excited and proud to broadcast the Munster Senior Football Final and the Leinster Senior Hurling Final, we will be the only TV station with live Gaelic Games action on Sunday. The first episode of "Part of What We Are", celebrating the GAA s 125th Anniversary, going out at 11.55am, and the draw for the second round football qualifiers from 6pm, we really have jam packed day of GAA ."
