Cork's Aisake O'hAilpin
Former Aussie Rules player Aisake O hAilpin is poised to make his Munster SHC debut for Cork against Tipperary on Sunday. The youngest of the famous O hAilpin brothers has impressed in recent challenge matches, and is expected to start at full forward against the reigning provincial champions. O hAilpin only returned to Ireland before Christmas after four years in the AFL with Carlton, with whom his brother Setanta is still playing. He subsequently linked up with Conor Counihan's football squad and featured as a substitute in the National League before accepting an invite from new hurling boss Denis Walsh to join his panel. Standing at 6'5", O hAilpin played county minor in both codes back in 2003 before being recruited by Aussie Rules, but is now concentrating all his energies on hurling and is expected to get the nod ahead of Fintan O'Leary on the edge of the square for Sunday's mouth-watering clash.
