Donegal's Ciaran Bonnar
John Joe Doherty has been handed a major boost for his side's Ulster SFC campaign after attacker Ciaran Bonner made a return to training on Tuesday night.
The Glenswilly clubman was one of a number of players that had been dropped from the squad by Doherty back in March for a breach of discipline before the team's NFL meeting with Tyrone, but his return will provide Donegal with a major boost up front.
Bonner played a huge role in the county's McKenna Cup success this season and will surely be eager to line-out at McCumhaill Park on June 14 for their provincial opener against Antrim.
The player opted out of the Donegal panel after last year's NFL in result of a difference of opinion with then manager Brian McIver and spent the summer in the US, missing the county's entire championship campaign in 2008.
