Tyrone's Kyle Coney
Sydney Swans' Brendan Murphy has fuelled speculation that Tyrone's Kyle Coney could be about to rejoin the AFL club. Coney, who is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, signed a two-year international rookie contract with the Swans last year after impressing in Tyrone's triumphant All-Ireland minor campaign. But he decided not to return to Australia after returning home for Christmas. However, former Carlow minor star Murphy has got the rumour mill going again by suggesting that the Ardboe teenager is ready to give Aussie Rules another go. "There's been a lot of talk about Kyle Coney's possible return to the Swans," said Murphy, who was due to return to Sydney from a break in Ireland. "Some have said that he might be on the same flight back as me, but I'll just have to wait and see. From what I can gather, both he and the club are keen to get him back Down Under."
