Kelly and Harrington in for Cork
January 22, 2009
Conor Counihan has drafted Paddy Kelly and Mark Harrington into his McGrath Cup final starting XV.
The Cork football boss is using the subsidiary competition to check out as many fringe players as possible and that will be largely the case again for Saturday's decider against UL at Pairc Ui Rinn.
In contrast to the controversy in Rebel County hurling circles, everything appears to be going smoothly in BOTH Counihan's senior football squads!
Ballincollig's Kelly comes into the team at left half forward in place of Robert Brosnan, while Douglas's Mark Harrington has been given his chance at top of the right, replacing Seamus Hayes.
Cork [McGrath Cup v UL]: K Murphy; B Crowley, N O Donovan, K Harrington; D Murphy, O Sexton, R O Sullivan; A O Sullivan, A O Connor; C McCarthy, F Goold, P Kelly; M Harrington, C Mc Manus, K O Sullivan.
