Dromard GAA Club Notes

November 24, 2008
Senior footballer Eugene McNaboe is heading off to South Africa to be part of  The Niall Mellon Township Trust which provides homes to the impoverished communities in the townships, as part of his fundraising he organised a game between the 1999 Dromard Championship winning Team and the 2007 Championship team, with refreshments later in the club house. The game was played in good spirits,  with the 1999 team giving their younger opponents lots.. Frank Tooher was the man in the middle and added to the fun. Dinnes Connerton, Sean McNerney and Dinney Donohoe had their 1999 charges in good shape. The banter in the clubhouse was good, but most of all a good sum of money was raised to support Eugene and the Niall Mellon Trust. Dromard U21 team should have a game this weekend against a strong Amalgamation of Connollys/Mullinaghta/Colmcille. Best wishes to Enda Macken, his management team and the players in the semi final. Dromard Senior AGM takes place on the 14th of December, please support. Well done to all those who took part in Junior Scor.  Lotto: no results to hand. The Lotto is now at 16,500. You can get lotto's from any club member or local shops. You can buy a monthly lotto, 5 tickets for 10 euro. Please support
