Mostrim 3-8
Killoe 2-7
Mostrim took their place in the semi-finals of the James Keogh Under 21 Football Championship last Friday night with a well-earned four-point victory over Killoe at Monaduff.
It was Killoe who made the better start to the game, netting the game's opening goal after 11 minutes through Eugene Clarke. The Edgeworthstown side hit back with points from James Farrell and Alan O'Hara before Seamus Hannon levelled matters on 20 minutes.
From the following attack Thomas Gallagher established a three-point lead for Mostrim by meeting James Farrell's high pass and delivering it to the net. A Ronan McGoldrick point for Killoe saw out the half at 1-4 to 1-2 in Mostrim's favour.
At the restart, Clarke netted his second goal to put the Young Emmets back in front, by O'Hara and substitute Joe Dempsey struck for the decisive goals in the final quarter to send Mostrim into the last four of the competition, where they will be joined by Dromard after their 1-14 to 0-8 win over Longford Slashers last weekend.
