Tough campaign for hurlers

Longford hurlers have not been handed the kindest draw in the National hurling league ahead of the 2009 campaign that begins on Sunday February 8th.
On that date, Longford make the long journey north to play Donegal and then a week later they are at home to a strong Roscommon side.
On Sunday March 1st, the Midlanders head for Tyrone and then they have a three week break until the entertain Louth on Match 22nd, before travelling to Fingal a week later.
They finish up the campaign with a tough home clash against a London side that will be favourites to win the title.
