Donard/Glen club notes

With the Small Schools football league not being played anymore and the Parish teams only qualifying for B Championships we in our side of the Parish were starting to get worried about our juveniles. When we have a successful bunch of juveniles it usually means a few years after we have a successful adult team. The Allen Cup returned to the Parish on Sunday last when they beat Blessington in the final. Representing Donard/Glen on the team were Stephen Dowling, Oisin Adler, Oran Fielder, Darren O,Neill, William Byrne, Brendan Keogh, Cloe Dwyer and Conor Kelly. Let's hope the cycle is starting again. Went to the replay of the county hurling final in Aughrim on Saturday that was played in unbelievable conditions. A gale force wind blowing into the town goal and torrential rain in the first half accompanied by darkness in the second half,made it hard on player and spectator. The standard of play was brilliant in the conditions but with only a handful of teams involved in the championship this was far too late in the year to be playing a game as important as this. Lotto results for Monday 3rd November. The winning numbers were 1, 5, 8 and 27. There was no winner and only a few match threes
