Donegal unveil training facilities plan

Donegal county board have unveiled ambitious plans for the development of a centre of excellence in the county. Chairman Sean Kelly has confirmed that the county board have agreed to purchase land near Convoy, though the proposed development is subject to planning permission being secured. The new centre will contain five pitches, changing and training facilities and may also contain an administration centre. It is hoped it will also provide facilities for ladies football, camogie, handball and rounders. The development, which would cater for all county teams, is an integral part of the county board's five-year strategy which is due to be launched shortly. The strategy is aimed at maintaining Donegal GAA's position as the leading sports brand in the county.
