Kildangan trailed by four points at half time despite the best efforts of Philip Ryan and James Stynes who were giving their all in mid-field. Conor Hyland converted a penalty early in the second half following a foul on Grace Nealon and further scores by Robert Hewison and Conor Hyland again put Kildangan in the driving seat. Jack Hickey and Dermot Hickey worked hard throughout, but Chantelle Carroll was our best player on the day giving a fantastic performance at wing back. Under 11's The Under 11's made the short trip to Monasterevin on Thursday evening and maintained their unbeaten run in the Under 11 Winter League. Kildangan started strongly with a Robert Hanley point straight from the throw in and continued to dominate playing some great football with Robert Hewison, Jordan Kaye and Josh Francis to the fore. Kildangan's half time lead of 1.7 to 0.1 was a fair reflection of their dominance. Monasterevin started brightly in the second half and Kildangan goalkeeper Dara Gilbert made two very good saves to maintain his teams lead. Ryan Moran, Tadhg Ryan and Conor Hyland scored some wonderful points as Kildangan pulled further ahead and Lauren Kelly fisted a goal just after her introduction. Monasterevin hit back with two late goals to leave the final score Kildangan 2.11 Monasterevin 2.3.
