Blackhall keeper Emily Mangan
Full Time Score - Blackhall Gaels 0-5 Shinrone 2-14 Half Time Score - BHG 0-3 Shinrone 1-6 The teams traded scores for much of the first half but Shinrone put daylight between the sides with a goal in the closing stages. The initial shot was saved by goalie Emily Mangan but was followed up by the full forward who finished to the net. Blackhall needed to start well in the second half but it was Shinrone's midfielder Michelle Davis who again punished some sloppy defending by converting two well taken frees. Jane Dolan replied with a point from play, but shortly after had to be carried from the field with a knee injury. It was a blow that Blackhall never recovered from. Shinrone however continued to impress with some fine points from play and a very well taken hand passed goal. Holly Geraghty scored Blackhalls only remaining score in the closing stages of the match. Shinrone deservedly go through to face Fr. Murphys (London) in the semi-final which is scheduled for next Saturday in London. Shinrones Michelle Davis scored (0-4)(3F) (1x45). She also scored 5 points in the second half. Their full forward scored the two goals, one at the very end of the first half and one a very good hand pass to the net in the second half. Another to impress for Shinrone was centre back Michaela Morkan who was rock solid throughout.
