Skryne 1-11 Carnaross 1-9 Ten weeks after playing their last game, Carnaross suffered their first B FL Division 6 defeat of the year when they went down by two points under lights to host side Skryne on Tuesday night. Following a slow first ten minutes when both sides struggled to get a score, Carnaross registered through Patrick Smith before the home side hit back to equalise soon after. Carnaross then had a two-point lead with points from Alan Smyth and Rory O'Connor. Skryne hit back with a point before Damian McArdle restored the two-point lead. Going into the closing stages of the half Skryne enjoyed a period of dominance scoring 1-3 without reply to go in leading at the interval 1-4 to 0-4, the goal coming from Declan Morley, two points from Cyril Carty and another point from Kevin O'Reilly. Skryne opened the scoring in the second-half with a point from play through Ronan Tuite. Carnaross hit back with two points from Rory O'Connor and Patrick Smith. Skryne responded with another point before Rory O'Connor converted a free two leave two between the sides. Stephen Flattery brought Carnaross back into the game finishing a good move up the wing with a well taken goal. Carnaross however failed to capatalise with the home side outscoring them four points to two with Stephen Flattery and Shane McNiffe raising the white flags for Carnaross. Darren Carty pointed a free for Skryne in the 47th minute and Kevin O'Reilly added a further three points from play . Carnaross, who had Peter Mullan dismissed going into the closing stages, pushed hard in search of the goal they needed but it didn't come their way.
