Martin Stokes opened the scoring with a well taken goal and an impressive first half showing afforded the Navan side a 2-9 to 1-4 interval lead. Nicky O'Brien, James Heaney, Gary Moran and Liam Burke all registered scores during this period as did the midfield duo of Conor Sheridan and Niall O'Mahony. St. Martin's staged a minor comeback in the second half, but goals from Simonstown's Burke and O'Brien kept them in control. Defensively, Simonstown stood strong and Dean Curran and Ben Clarke kept their charges alert at all times. Shane Gallagher and Niall Coughlan also performed well throughout.
