Fergus Minogue was top scorer for St Pats
St. Patricks 2-13
Simonstown 1-06
St Pats won their final division 4 reserve league game with an exhibition of point scoring from Fergus Minogue against a weakened Simonstown side. Fran Mooney was the star of the show as he scored two points from play but also set up numerous scores with his constant running at the Simonstown defence. He was well supported by Shane McGinty and JP Ryan.
St. Pats led by 3 points at half time, 0-5 to 0-2, after a tight first half where Simonstown battled well. However, once Shane McGinty scored a spectacular goal 5 mins into the second half, St. Pats settled and followed up with another goal from a speculative effort from 45yards from Fergus Minogue which ended up in the back of the net. Noel Collier held midfield well and with Jamie Woods tearing up the field for 2 points from centre back, St. Pats won it out comfortably in the end by a margin of 10 points.
Best for Pats were David Stafford, Jamie Woods, Fran Mooney and Shane McGinty.
