Celbridge know they need to curb John Doyle
September 19, 2008
The game on Saturday afternoon (15.00) involving Allenwood and Celbridge in the Kildare senior football championship quarterfinal could well be very close with much depending on how much influence John Doyle is allowed to exert.
Should Celbridge be able to curtail the sharpshooter, their chances of success will be enhanced. Barney Rock is now in charge at Celbridge and his side have been making steady progress over the past few seasons. They boast a number of players with quite an amount of experience at championship and county level including the likes of Mick Wright, Robbie Hannon, Padraig Carty, Mark O'Sullivan and Ollie Lyons.
Allenwood have quite an amount of experience in the side too and having lost to Athy in the first round of the league aspect of the championship then hammered Maynooth and secured the advancement with the save against Round Towers.
