Junior B Championship The Downs 2-11 CFCW       0-8 Our Junior team traveled to the Downs on Thursday last for this Junior B championship game. Despite a tight first half, The Downs ran out deserving winners in the end. Finea started quite well in this game and got some good scores from Tommy McGlynn(2), Mickey Moran(2) and Donie Moore. Despite the Downs having a lot of the possession this game was still very much there for the taking at half time with Wesley Farrell getting a very good score before half time. In the second half The downs built on their three point lead >from the very start and made life very difficult for the Finea lads. Mickey Moran got our only two scores in this half and was our best player on the night. Overall this was a disappointing result but The Downs played some very good football and were full value for their win. Our best performances on the night came from Mickey Moran, Tommy McGlynn, Wesley Farrell and Ollie Gaffney in the second half. Our final group game in this championship is against Kinnegad. Training Training will continue at 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays and at 11 on Sunday mornings. Tweet
