Cody to join Des on The Road to Croker

On The Road to Croker tonight, Des Cahill stops off in James Stephens GAA club in Kilkenny to celebrate a fantastic win with Kilkenny manager Brian Cody and players Jackie Tyrell, Eoin Larkin and Donnacha Cody. Cork hurling manager and former Waterford manager Gerald McCarthy will also be giving Des his opinions on the final. Ahead of the Camogie All-Ireland between Cork and Galway, Kate Kelly from last year's victorious Wexford team will be looking forward to the match and Gemma O'Connor of Cork will be talking to Des about her preparations for the final. The Road to Croker will also be visiting a Galway household who are particularly looking forward to Sunday's camogie final as Galway player Veronica Curtin and her husband Damien Coleman, who is part of the Galway management team, prepare for what could be the (second) biggest day of their lives. U21 hurlers James Skehill of Galway and Seamus Hickey of Limerick will be looking to the U21 final between Kilkenny and Tipperary as Kilkenny go for the clean sweep of All-Irelands and Conor Counihan, Cork football manager, will be talking about a rollercoaster of a year for Cork and giving his opinion on the All-Ireland football final between Kerry and Tyrone. In the Master Marksmen football semi-final Wayne McCarhty of Dublin takes on Offaly's Colm Quinn and The Road to Croker takes a trip down memory lane to 1983 when the Dublin footballers and their supporters left Hill 16 behind and headed for the banks of the Lee.T hursday 11th September 2008 at 8pm on RTÉ 2 The Road to Croker with Des Cahill will be repeated at midnight, Friday the 12th of Septemeber on RTÉ 2
