Former Meath All-Ireland winning captain Tommy Dowd added to his impressive list of honours last Saturday as his club Wolfe Tones captured the Meath Junior D Championship title. The veteran attacker, who captained the Royals to their All-Ireland success in 1996, hit 1-4 in his side's decider against Clann na nGael at Pairc Tailteann at the weekend in a 1-16 to 1-8 victory. The latest triumph adds to the long list of honours he hold between inter-county and club football with both Dunderry and Wolfe Tones, with the latter, somewhat remarkably, now having won all six adult football championships in as many seasons.
