Tyrone captain Brian Dooher is looking to appear in his third ever All-Ireland final this year, with the stern Wexford obstacle the only thing standing in his way this Sunday.
The Model County have already eliminated Ulster opposition in Down and Armagh from this summer's All-Ireland Championship and Dooher is hoping that his side can banish the memories of their last semi-final meeting when Tyrone lost out to Wexford in the National Football League back in 2005 before land their second All-Ireland title.
"I did not play that day back in 2005 and it was a bad day. You have to give full credit to Wexford, they deserved to win that day.
"They were the better team that day, the hungrier team and they probably didn't go on to play as well as the final as they should have.
"We know they are a great team with a forward line that only needs a sniff of the ball to get a score and that wasn't something that happened to us against Dublin. Our forward line wasn't as lethal as maybe it has been in the past.
"We know they will present a stiff challenge. We remember that defeat three years ago and there was a qualifier match in Wexford Park a few years before that.
"We're in for a tight game and it will come down to who performs on the day."
Dooher has played down his 'great performance' against Dublin earlier this month in the quarter-finals, citing the Leinster Champions' performance on the day as under-par and he believes that an even bigger effort will need to be put in against Wexford this Sunday at Croke Park.
