Replay could prove a blessing in disguise for Ó Sé

Kerry midfielder Darragh O'Se
Cork's late comeback on Sunday could well prove beneficial to veteran midfielder Darragh Ó Sé if Kerry defeat the Rebels this Sunday and make their fourth consecutive All-Ireland final. Ó Sé received a straight red card for an off the ball challenge on Cork's Pierce O'Neill early in the second-half of yesterday's semi-final, which would see the Gaeltacht clubman miss the next match and receive a four-week suspension from the CCCC as custom. If that were to be the case, Ó Sé's suspension would expire at midnight the day before the All-Ireland final on September 21 if Kerry were to get there. Cork's Donnacha O'Connor could be cleared for Sunday's replay if the CCCC find that his offence against Aidan O'Mahony did not warrant a red card, and even if so he should be safe to play the final if Cork win the replay. The replay comes a week to late for Kerry's Paul Galvin, who had his well documented six-month suspension halved last month, which now expires on September 7.
