Craobh Rua Welcome London All Ireland Féile Hurling Team

Craobh Rua Camlocha Welcome London All Ireland Féile Hurling team
History will be made this weekend when Craobh Rua Camlocha Hurling Club welcome the London Féile team who will be here to participate in the prestigious All Ireland Féile Competition.

The National Féile na nGael tournament takes place in Ulster, beginning on Friday June 20th and closing on Sunday, June 22nd. Representatives from every County will compete across 6 divisions against host clubs. It is anticipated that there will be 64 host teams and 64 visiting teams.

The London team is managed by Roddy Walsh and the accompanying secretary is Noreen O Neill both who are respected GAA activists in London. A panel of twenty young hurlers will be travelling to Craobh Rua to spend the weekend with designated host families whilst another thirty parents and supporters are also expected to accompany the London team.

The U14 London Feile Hurling team will travel to Ulster Armagh weekend of 20th-22nd of June 2014. They belong to a wide range of GAA Clubs across London. The Panel is

Craobh Rua Camlocha extend an open invitation to all to attend any of the events and games organised for our visitors this weekend. We thank all who have helped organise and support those events and we hope our club members hosting the visiting young hurlers enjoy the experience.

Craobh Rua Camlocha Club Notes June 14th 2014
Senior
Senior and minor training continues as usual. The Mc Cormick Cup Shield final is due to be played this Tuesday evening, details will be made known once they have been finalised.
Underage
Our Underage teams continue to train on the allocated evenings. Training Times : Under 6s Craobh Rua Pitch Saturday mornings 11am to 12 noon: Under 8/10 Monday night 7-8pm : Under 12/14/16 Wednesday nights 7.30pm to 8.45pm. Can parents/ guardians ensure that all young children participating have appropriate footwear and clothes wear.
Our Under 12 team is schedule to play Lurgan this week. Players, parents and guardians will be informed of arrangements.
All Ireland Féile Visitors
Craobh Rua will be happy to welcome London Féile team as our guests over the weekend of the 20th of June until Sunday the 22nd of June. There is great excitement within the Club and locality about the visit and we hope to ensure that our young guests, their mentors and supporters have a truly memorable time. The Craobh Rua Feile sub committee have been working away to arrange accommodation for our visitors and other activities for them.
Craobh Rua Féile team will play London, Inniskeen and Cork over the Féile weekend.
Club Activities
We also thank all those Businesses and individuals who have and continue to financially support our Clubs activities.
Sponsored Walk: There will be a sponsored walk on the 23rd of June 2014 in aid of our Club and all players, parents, mentors and supporters are asked to get involved and come along for the day. There will be a Barbecue after the Walk.
Annual Cycle: The date has been announced for our annual fundraising Cycle. The "Hooley around Cooley" Cycle will take place on Sunday the 26th of September.

The Committee, players, members and supporters of Craobh Rua Camlocha would like to congratulate Meabh Robb on her fantastic gold medal winning performance at the Special Olympics in Limerick last weekend. Meabh and the Robb family have been great supporters of hurling and this Club and we are all very proud of her medal winning achievement in the Equestrian section. We also extend our congratulations to all those on Team Newry & Mourne who participate in the Special Olympic Games.
