KILKENNY v WEXFORD They meet in the Leinster final for the fourth successive year as Kilkenny attempt to win their 10th title in eleven seasons. Wexford broke their run in 2004 beating them in the semi-final before ousting Offaly in the final. Wexford's last win over Kilkenny in the Leinster final was in 1997 when they won by 2-14 to 1-11 to retain the title. Kilkenny v Wexford has long been a popular feature of the summer hurling scene but their clashes have been even more frequent in recent years when as well as meeting in the Leinster final, they also met in the 2007 All-Ireland semi-final. Next Sunday's clash will, in fact, be the 9th championship meeting between the counties since 2001 with the results going Kilkenny's way, 7-1.
