Lee Chin is expected to be sidelined for “three or four weeks” according to his Faythe Harriers club-mate Richie Kehoe.

The Wexford captain had scored three points before a hamstring injury forced him to retire after 26 minutes of his side’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1A draw with Clare last Sunday. Speaking to The Wexford Hurling Podcast, former Model County star Kehoe admitted that Chin would be a big loss for the remaining round-robin games against Waterford and Cork.

“Chin’s is a hamstring injury. He’ll probably be out for about three or four weeks at least I’d say anyway. Chin is a huge loss; he’s such a leader. His leadership qualities are unbelievable,” Kehoe said.

“When he’s on the ball, everyone’s looking up to him. He’s bringing lads into play, he’s able to get his own scores. He’s a serious outlet on the puck-outs. He’s probably our best ball winner in the forwards.”
