Wexford bounced back from the disappointment of last weekend late defeat to Leitrim by seeing off Waterford on a comprehensive 0-21 to 1-7 scoreline at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Having only led by the minimum at half-time, the Slaneysiders produced the second-half goods on home turf with Kevin O’Grady and Ben Brosnan to the fore for them.
Veteran Brosnan was brought into the fray after 44 minutes and sent over an immediate point and more scores from Glen Malone and Shane Pettit would have the game at doubles scores (0-14 to 0-7) come the hour mark.
Waterford would pull a goal back deep in injury-time, but the game was very much up for them by that stage as the Model men keep their promotion hopes alive heading into next month’s last three rounds.
