Westmeath made up for the disappointment of losing last year's All-Ireland ladies intermediate football championship final when they got their hands on the Mary Quinn Memorial Cup once again with an emphatic 4-19 to 0-6 victory over Wexford at Croke Park.

Leona Archibold (penalty), Lucy McCartan, player of the match Sarah Dillon and Anna Jones all found the net in what was a runaway 25-point success for Sean Finnegan's side who could even afford to miss a late penalty.

The writing was on the wall for Wexford when they trailed by 2-11 to 0-3 at half-time.
