Ballycomoyle v Shandonagh.
Under 14 Division 3 League Final
Ballycomoyle welcomed Shandonagh to Ballycomoyle on Wednesday evening last 10/6/26 for the Division 3 League Final, played in front of a huge crowd of supporters who created a fantastic atmosphere for the match.
The visitors got off to a flying start, taking some excellent early scores and putting Ballycomoyle under pressure from the throw-in. Once Ballycomoyle settled into the game, they began to show their quality, kicking some lovely scores of their own and working hard all over the field. Despite their efforts, Shandonagh maintained the upper hand and Ballycomoyle went into the break trailing by five points.
Half time.
Ballycomoyle 3-04
Shandonagh. 4-06
The second half saw Shandonagh continue their impressive form, making the most of every scoring opportunity that came their way. To their credit, Ballycomoyle never stopped battling and continued to work hard until the final whistle, showing great determination and character throughout. However, Shandonagh’s lead continued to grow and they ultimately ran out deserving winners and Division 3 League champions.
Final Score.
Ballycomoyle 4-09
Shandonagh 8-12
Congratulations to Shandonagh on their victory and thank ye for a great sporting contest.
To the under 14 Ballycomoyle management team ye are doing a fantastic job on this team playing a lovely brand of football. I am told ye are only losing 3 players for next year which shows how young this team is.
The very best of luck boys and Management team in this years championship.
Many thanks to referee Vinnie Cox for officiating the game, and to everyone involved in preparing the pitch and facilities, which were in superb condition and provided an excellent playing surface for the final.
Well done to this fantastic group of boys and all involved for playing such fantastic games in the league and reaching the final.
We look forward to seeing the boys in the coming weeks in the championship
Finally
A special word of thanks goes to our supporters who turned out in their numbers to support our super under 14 boys..
Your support was greatly appreciated.

Under-14 Girls
League Division 2
Our Under-14 girls welcomed Multyfarnham to Ballycomoyle for a thrilling league encounter. Despite lining out with only 13 players, the girls showed tremendous determination, resilience, and teamwork from start to finish.
Every player gave their all and never stopped battling, playing to the very best of their ability throughout the game. It was an entertaining, high-scoring contest with very little separating the teams. Multyfarnham provided a fantastic challenge, and the game was score for score for long periods, with both sides displaying great skill and commitment.
The girls can be extremely proud of their performance, showing great character and refusing to give up at any stage. Their hard work and teamwork were rewarded as Ballycomoyle edged ahead and held on to secure a well-deserved victory.
A huge well done to all 13 players who performed exceptionally well and represented the club with pride.
Final Score:
Ballycomoyle 9-13
Multyfarnham 9-7

Under 8 and 10 Girls Go Games
Blitz.
On Saturday morning last 13/6/26 Ballycomoyle hosted under 8 and under 10 girls go games. We welcomed St Lomans, Bunbrosna, CFCW, and St. Paul’s . We were blessed with the weather and we had a very enjoyable morning of football. Our own young girls showed off the skills they are learning every Thursday evening at training. We are so appreciative of all the help and support that we received to run the go games. Huge shout out to everyone who refereed, made teas, marked pitches, helped with traffic! Thanks to all the young girls and their parents that travelled to Ballycomoyle and I hope all the girls had a great morning of football and fun.
Under 12 girls.
Our under 12 girls travelled to Rochfortbridge in their latest round of go games, on a wet miserable evening playing conditions weren't ideal, The hosts settled quickly but once the Ballycomoyle girls got going they played some fantastic football, matching Rochfortbridge in all areas, at halftime there was nothing between the sides, second half and again the Ballycomoyle girls showed huge determination, some good tackling and hard work in defence and midfield kept the hosts out, Unfortunately we hadn't many subs to call upon on the night and the girls tired, A little bit of wayward shooting from the girls meant Rochfortbridge ran out winners, on a tight margin, Credit to these young girls, there heart and determination never tires, Thanks to parents for braving the weather, thanks to referee Nicole Leonard for officiating and explaining her calls.
Next up is a home round against our neighbours CFCW 23/06/26
