Westmeath Minor ladies 2026

Many Congratulations to our own Rebecca Ward who will be representing our club on the Westmeath County Minor panel for 2026. Being selected on this panel is a huge achievement and a credit to each player’s hard work and dedication. Best of luck to Rebecca and team and management for the coming season ahead.

 

Steps Challenge 

Our steps challenge has got off to a fantastic start with great turnout on Tuesday evening last 6/1/26

We are back again on next Tuesday evening 13/1/26 and the remaining Tuesday nights of January meeting in the Abbey car park for 7pm. Claire and Aidan will lead from the front. Not restricted to club members. 

Everyone is very welcome. So don't forget next Tuesday evening 13th meeting in the Abbey car for 7 pm

Please wear a high vis jacket and any light you may have.

 

Could everyone hook up their watch or phone to the app. All steps are a help no matter how few .

To setup your phone for the steps challenge:

1. Download the My Life, Irish Life app (appears like this below)

2. Click register & fill in your details

3. Click GAA Healthy Clubs Step Challenge 2026

4. Click Leinster - Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs Step Challenge 2026

5. Scroll down to the end & click Join

6. Put Ballycomoyle GAA into the search bar & click on it when it comes up

 7. Once registered go to Tracker on the bottom of the app and then select Trackers

 8. You can then go to My Devices and add you watch.

 

Split the pot. 

Our club split the pot draw takes a break for the month of January and returns on Saturday night January the 31st. You can purchase our split the pot tickets.

Westmeath Gaa News

 

Many Congratulations to our County footballers on reaching the O'Byrne cup final with a great win over our neighbors Offaly in the Semi  final in Cusack Park on  Saturday afternoon last.

The Final will take on Friday evening next away to Kildare.

 

Hard luck to our County Hurlers who was defeated by Dublin at the Semi final stage of the Walsh cup away to Dublin on Sunday last.

 

Both County teams will be out in the coming weeks in the Football and Hurling  National Leagues.

We wish both County teams the very best of luck.
