Result.

Junior 1 Men's Football Championship.

Relegation play off.

Ballycomoyle. 0-13

Killucan.            3-13

Our junior men took on Killucan in the junior 1 Relegation play off on Saturday last 27/9/25 in Castleown Finea gaa grounds.

Our lads started very well and were playing lovely football and were kicking over some fine scores. Killucan grew more into the game and were kicking over some fine scores themselves including the first goal of the first half. As referee

Eoin Gorman sounded for half time.

The half time score read

Ballycomoyle. 0-07

Killucan.          1-05.

As the second half started the first attack came from Ballycomoyle kicking over the equalizer.

Both teams traded points and by the 14th minute the  Ballycomoyle men were up by 2 pts. But it was short lived with killucan men putting a fine move together that was finished to the back of the Ballycomoyle net. They followed that up with a further 2 points. Our lads never recovered from these scores and with 10 minutes remaining in the match killucan struck for their 3rd goal. In fairness the Ballycomoyle lads never gave up kicking over some fine scores but unfortunately as the referee sounded the final whistle it was the Ballycomoyle team that was on the wrong side of the result.

Final score

Ballycomoyle 0-13

Killucan.           Y3-13

Unfortunately this result means we will be playing out of Junior 2 for next year.

Many thanks to our team and Management team and our first Aid man Micheal for putting in a huge effort through out the year.

Many thanks to all.

Thanks to the Referee and his team of officials.

Also to the Castletown Finea club for hosting the match.

Many thanks to Killucan for a very sporting game.

Under 12 Boys.

On Sunday morning last 28/9/25 our under12 boys finished a great season of football. It was a lovely morning for football in St. Lomans. The boys played brilliantly with excellent passing skills and played as a great team.

Thanks to the parents all year for their dedication and commitment. Well done to the boys who have learned so much and got to play loads of football. This is a super bunch of boys and we look forward to watching these continue to grow!

Many thanks to the boys and their management team a fantastic year by all.

Under 16 LGFA Div 2

Championship semi final

25/9/25

Ballycomoyle 5-03 (18)

Loughnavalley 2-17 (23)

Our under 16 ladies faced Loughnavalley in the championship semi-final under the lights in Ballinagore on Thursday night last 25/9/25. This was a home semi Final for Ballycomoyle, but due to lighting issues, the game was moved.

From the first whistle, both teams were very evenly matched playing lovely football Loughnavalley settled the quickest and shot some fine scores. The Ballycomoyle girls never gave up and some great play and connecting passes resulted in fine scores. Half time time score

Ballycomoyle 2-02 Loughnavalley 1-11

The Ballycomoyle ladies down by 6.

Into the second half and Ballycomoyle struck with a fine goal to narrow the gap to 3 points, again both sides not wanting to lose really kept going and with 11 minutes gone in the second half our ladies were level, Ballycomoyle rattled the crossbar also but an unfortunate injury to one of our midfielders really threw the entire team. Unfortunately not our night and we bow out of the championship at the Semi final stage.

Many thanks to all the parents who travelled to Ballinagore your help through out the year was very much appreciated bring girls to training and Matches.

Many thanks to Referee James Allard

We wish Loughnavalley the very best of luck in the Final.

To the management team many thanks for all your work through out the year.

We want to send our best wishes to Amelia who picked up a injury in the match a Speedy recovery.

Finally to the our under 16 ladies thank you.

St Michael's.

Result.

U14 Div 3 Championship semi-final .

Date 24/9/25

Result

St Michaels 5-06

St Lomans 2-09

On a perfect evening for football in Ballycomoyle the St Michaels under 14 boys powered their way to the Championship final in a pulsating encounter with their Mullingar rivals.

The home team were first out of the blocks and picked off an early point and goal before Lomans got to the pace of the game.

Some hard tackling set the tone that there would be nothing easy in this match and both sides were up for the battle.

St Michaels went in at the break up by 4 but Lomans brought the score to within a point early in the second half.

The scene was set for an epic final 15 mins and the home side proved their worth and played excellent football to go clear by 6 with the time running out.

St Michaels emerged victorious and will contest the county final in the coming weeks.
