The pitch and conditions for playing were perfect, however St Michaels were unable to match Shandonaghs quality on this occasion and the visitors ran out winners in the end. A massive thanks to all the players who participated, alot of whom will not play again together under the St Michaels banner and move from u20s up to their adult clubs Ballycomoyle and CFCW.
This bunch of players have been together since under 14s and alot were members of the u14 and u17 championship winning sides

But Cill Óige were playing some lovely football them selfs.
Unfortunately it just wasn't to be for our ladies with Cill Óige finishing out the game the stronger.
Winning on a final score line.

Round 4.
On Tuesday evening last 19/8/25 our Under 16 girls took on St Joseph's at home in Ballycomoyle in what was to be a great contest. Our girls, boyd by 2 game win on the bounce, wanted that to continue. Ballycomoyle started brightly but guilty of missing some guilt edged chances in the first half gave the upper hand to Joseph's. Both teams were trading seriously good scores. St Joseph's were determined not to lose this fixture and went in at Half Time 2 points up.
Into the 2nd half and some positional changes and substitutions saw Ballycomoyle a different outfit. They grappled back the momentum and hit Joseph's with some great scores. With the opposition tiring, Ballycomoyle kept going, and some late goals sealed a fantastic win. These girls never give up and are only getting better.
Congratulations girls and management team on a fantastic win
Thanks to referee Ray Farrelly for a job well done. And to all supporters for cheering the girls on.

Junior 1 Football championship.
Round 3
Result.
On Sunday last 24/8/25 we travelled to Ballynacargy to take on St Josephs in Round 3 of the junior 1 football championship.
On a perfect day for football it was St Josephs who was on the score sheet early on and were the better team right through the first half our lads really put in huge effort but it was St Josephs that went in at half time leading.
In the second half again we played second best to a very strong St Josephs team probably many peoples favourites to win the junior football championship this year as they kick some fine scores. As the final whistle sounded it was St Josephs
who left Ballynacargy with the two points on offer.
All credit to the Ballycomoyle lads they put in a great effort
Many thanks to the Referee and his team of officials.
And to the Ballynacargy GAA Club on having their grounds in immaculate condition.
Many thanks everyone.
Congratulations to all the students who received their Leaving Cert Results. The end of one chapter and the start of another.
