Senior Camogie Championship - Round 3

Decotek Park Collinstown was the venue where Lough Lene Gaels played St Brigids in a Round 3 fixture of Group 1 of the David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship on Sunday August 24th.

Lough Lene Gaels trailed versus the 2025 Senior Camogie League Division 2 title winners at half time, Lough Lene Gaels 0.05 St Brigids 2.04. This result is a setback for the ambitions of Lough Lene Gaels to attempt to qualify for the semi finals phase of the David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship. Lough Lene Gaels has remaining fixtures to play in Group 1 of this competition versus Drumraney and Raharney.

 

Division 1 Minor Camogie Championship 

 

Lough Lene Gaels played Raharney in a Round 2 Divisional phase fixture of the Patterson Pump Ireland Minor Camogie Division 1 Camogie Championship on Wednesday evening August 20th. Raharney was the match venue. The concession of first half goals left Lough Lene Gaels in arrears to Raharney at half time. Although Lough Lene Gaels did play very well in the second half of this fixture, it was Raharney who were the match winners.

 

Division 1 U14 Camogie Championship 

 

Decotek Park, Collinstowpn was the match venue where Lough Lene Gaels played Raharney in a Divisional fixture of the U14 Division 1 Camogie Championship on Monday evening, August 18th. The ability to obtain scores at crucial and defining moments of play in this match ensured that the match lead was in the possession of Lough Lene Gaels at half time. Raharney did come more into contention in the second half of this fixture. Lough Lene Gaels though won this U14 Division 1 Camogie Championship Divisional fixture.

 

Lotto Information 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club informs it's Officer Board, Senior grade players, parents and guardians of juvenile and underage players, members and supporters, that the next lotto draw takes place on Monday evening September 1st at the Decotek Park Clubhouse at 7pm. Sincere Condolences 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club extends its sincere condolences to its esteemed past player Nuala Shaw, and the Shaw family, bereaved on Sunday August 17th by the death of Nuala's mother, Theresa Shaw, Collinstown. RIP.

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club also extends its sincere condolences to the wife and family of Sean Carroll, Lewistown, Killucan, who died on Wednesday August 20th. RIP. Mr Carroll was involved over the course of several years in a very successful team administrator role with various teams of Delvin Camogie Club. Mr Carroll's daughters Emma and Laura, are both esteemed past players of Delvin Camogie Club.

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club also extends its sincere condolences to the family of Norah Glavin, Collinstown, who died on Wednesday August 20th.

 

U12 Mini League Camogie Finals - Next Saturday 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club has the responsibility and the honour of hosting all seven finals of the 2025 U12 Mini League Camogie Competition at Decotek Park Collinstown on next Saturday August 30th.

Lough Lene Gaels play Brownstown in the Division 3 Cup final, which has a match starting time of 10am. On an adjoining pitch, also with a 10am match starting time, Crookedwood play Southern Gaels in the Division 2 Plate final. Both of those fixtures will be followed by the playing of five further finals in the U12 Mini Camogie League, concluding with the Division 1 Cup final, Delvin v Raharney, which has a 2pm match starting time. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club requests all available assistance with the logistics of the hosting of seven club Camogie matches at Decotek Park next Saturday, namely with the carrying out of a number of all important and necessary logistical and personnel duties, stewarding as one such example. All assistance with the carrying out of all of the important required and necessary logistical and personnel duties at Decotek Park on next Saturday August 30th will be very sincerely welcomed and appreciated by Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club.
