Lough Lene Gaels went down to defeat to Clonkill in the 2023 final of the Junior A Hurling Championship, played at Raharney on Saturday November 18th. 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club extends its sincere gratitude to its 2023 Junior Grade panel of players, and team management, for their professional minded dedication, as regards preparing for the playing of fixtures of this competition, and the actual playing of those same fixtures. 

 

Sincere congratulations to Clonkill on their success last Saturday.

 

53rd Annual General Meeting 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club has scheduled its 53rd Annual General Meeting to take place at Collinstown Hall on Monday night, December 11th 2023. 

This 53rd AGM is timed to start at 8pm.

 

Lotto

 

A lotto draw, for a jackpot of €1000, took place at Collinstown Hall on Sunday night, November 12th. Numbers drawn 12, 14, 18 and 29. The jackpot was not won. 

 

Two Match 3 winners won €75 each. 

The Match 3 winners were, Bridie Craig, Rathconnell, Mullingar. Ticket Seller - Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club and Niall Conaty - Collinstown. Ticket Seller - Yearly Ticket.

 

The next lotto draw, for a jackpot of €1100, takes place at Collinstown Hall on Sunday night, November 26th, at 9.15pm.

 

Road Hurling Event - Tuesday December 26th

 

A road Hurling event, starting and finishing at Doynes Public House, Glenidan, takes place on next St Stephen's Day, Tuesday December 26th 2023. Further details to follow.

 

Sincere Sympathy 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club extends its sincere condolences to the family of Michael McCormack, Drumcondra, Dublin, a native of Fore, who died on Monday November 13th - RIP.

 

Exhibition Opening

 

Lough Lene Gaels healthy club PLACE members, will have their collective creations on display at Castlepollard Library, from Wednesday of this week, November 22nd, until Wednesday December 6th.

 

The exhibition is titled "The place in a case" and consists of art and stories, all creations of the Lough Lene Gaels healthy club PLACE members.

 

This exhibition will be opened by renowned artist Mel French, at Castlepollard Library on Wednesday of this week, November 22nd, at 11am. 

 

Please take the time to view this exhibition, which is open to view by the public, during the normal scheduled opening hours of Castlepollard Library.
