AFTER EXTRA TIME

Lough Lene Gaels, in excellent playing conditions, and with a large number of spectators in attendance, overcame Raharney in a semi final fixture of the Junior A Hurling Championship, played at Archerstown on Sunday November 5th. Extra time was required to separate the teams.

Congratulations to the Lough Lene Gaels panel of players and team management on this result.

Astonishingly, when these same clubs contested a Round 5 Divisional fixture of the same competition only 15 days previously at Raharney on Saturday October 21st, it was Raharney who were very impressive match winners by a margin of 18 points on a 3.23 (32) to 2.08 (14) scoreline.
