Junior A Hurling Championship 

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club has qualified for the knock out phase of the Junior A Hurling Championship. 

A training schedule is in place. Players are requested to please adhere to the training schedule in place, as regards their presence and attendance.

Na Piarsaigh - U19 Hurling Championship 

Na Piarsaigh has qualified for the final of the final of the U19 Hurling Championship.

Players are requested to please attend training, as preparation for playing the final of the U19 Hurling Championship continues.

53th AGM - Monday December 11th 2023

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club has scheduled its 53rd Annual General Meeting, to take place at Collinstown Hall on Monday night, December 10th 2023. 

Further details, as regards further arrangements for the taking place of this 53rd AGM, will be confirmed in future Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club articles, that are published in this newspaper.

Sincere Sympathy 

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club, at this time, extends its sincere sympathy to the daughters, Carol.and Mary, grandchildren, other family members, of Margaret (Gretta) McDonnell, née Coogan, Cummerstown, Collinstown, who died on Thursday October 26th last. RIP.

Mrs McDonnell was predeceased in 2019, by her husband John, a winner of Westmeath Junior Hurling Championship and Junior Hurling League medals in 1962, with Glenidan Hurling Club.

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs €3000 lotto jackpot is won

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs, held a lotto draw, for a jackpot of €3000, at Collinstown Hall on Sunday night, October 29th. The four numbers drawn were, 14, 17, 26 and 28. There was one winner of the jackpot, namely David Kelly, Barbavilla, Collinstown, who serves both clubs in the capacity of PRO. 

The jackpot winner was presented with his winners cheque by Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club Treasurer Patrick Keane. Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club official Sean Carr, who also serves that club in the capacity of Treasurer, was a member of the presentation party!
