Well Done to Dean Moore
Dean Moore represented Mullingar Shamrocks with distinction in the Westmeath GAA Quid Game fundraising event.
He did so with as much creativity (check out his videos on Mullingar Shamrocks social media) and determination as he does on the football pitch. In raising over €10,000, he was the leading fundraiser of the 46 clubs represented and he earned significant revenue for the Westmeath County Committee and Mullingar Shamrocks. We would like to thank all those who supported Dean.
Under-11s end season with a busy October
The Undee-11 boys have now finished up for the 2023 season. We had a busy final month with the very successful Friday night under lights blitz every Friday evening in Springfield.
After watching, the minors win their championship on Saturday 14 October, the entire panel headed off on a bus trip to Maynooth GAA. Following, a very questionable ‘short cut’ we finally arrived at the venue to play Maynooth and Blackhall Gaels in a blitz. Thank you to Maynooth GAA for hosting and organising an excellent evening of football. After a quick stop off in Kinnegad for refreshments, the players arrived back in Mullingar and in time to get home to watch the rugby.
On our final night of training, the players were delighted to have the Tom Ormsby, Derek Sheridan, along with the joint captains Ryan Kelly and Callum Rigney Clyne from the successful minor team down for a chat, to pass on words of wisdom and to encourage the boys to keep up their practice over the winter.
