Limerick secured their third Allianz Hurling League win in-a-row by seeing off Westmeath on a 1-27 to 1-15 scoreline in Mullingar this afternoon.

The All-Ireland champions were in cruise control during the first-half, with Conor Boylan’s goal after 11 minutes sending them into a 1-4 to 0-1 lead.

Tom Morrissey would strike five first-half points as the Treaty men went in at the break with a commanding 1-14 to 0-5 advantage.

Morrissey, the returning Diarmuid Byrnes and Donnacha O'Dalaigh would keep the points flowing for John Kiely’s men after the turnaround ahead of Niall O’Brien netting a Westmeath penalty with just under 10 minutes to go.

Kiely introduced Aaron Gillane for his first minutes of the campaign shortly afterwards and the Patrickswell sharpshooter would send over a point in injury-time to help round off his team’s 12-point win.
