September 13, 2020

Minors bow out

Commiserations to our minors who suffered a 1-5 to 4-11 Division 3 championship semi-final defeat to a strong Inny Shamrocks combination in Ballynacargy last Sunday.

This group of players have made great progress under the guidance of Martin ‘Butcher’ Nannery, Mark Geoghegan and Niall Carey in recent months and can be proud of their achievements.

The squad on duty last Sunday was: Ryan Dinnegan, Senan Claffey, Cian Daly, Kieran Egan, Brian McMahon, Joey O’Neill, Brian Egan, Micheál Coffey, Padraig Carton, Aaron Nannery, Kieran Coffey, Conor Mullins, Jack Mullins, Jamie Fuller, Aaron O’Brien, Patrick Iskra, Kian Fitzpatrick, Joey Nannery and Kyle McMahon.

Pitch & Putt success

While there was no joy for Jack Mullins and his Kilbeggan team-mates in Sunday’s minor semi-final, it was still a weekend to remember for the talented young sportsman from the Mullingar Road who was crowned U16 National Strokeplay champion in Athgarvan, Co. Kildare on Saturday with a super score of -7.

Well done also to Jack’s brother Conor who also gave an excellent account of himself at the National Juvenile Pitch & Putt Championships.

Leaving Cert

Congratulations to our young players who received their Leaving Cert results last week and wishing them every success in their future endeavours.
