Minor Ladies Championship:
St Loman’s 2-13 Rochfortbridge 3-08
St Loman’s minor ladies welcomed St Marys Rochfortbridge in the championship semi-final on a wet Friday night under the lights. Games between these 2 groups of girls have been great battles throughout the years so everyone knew this game would be no different.
Early exchanges were tight with defences on top until the blues hit a purple patch scoring 1-5 without reply. The bridge were always dangerous on the break and themselves scored 2-4 without reply. Loman’s ended the half on the front foot to go in at the break all square at 1-10 to 2-7. Scores were at a premium in the second half on a greasy surface with some great defending from both teams with the blues edging it 1-3 to 1-1. St Loman’s showed tremendous heart and never say die attitude the girls simply never gave up and left everything on the pitch as now look forward to the final.
