Dessie Dolan in action for Garrycastle

Garrycastle and Westmeath legend Dessie Dolan believes there will be a ‘bit of bite’ in their Leinster club SFC clash against Meath champions Ratoath.

Following their win over Longford’s Killoe Emmett Og in the opening round last Sunday, Garrycastle will now face the first time Meath SF champions in Cusack Park, Mullingar on November 10th.

There has been great rivalry between Meath and Westmeath in recent years with Dolan playing a significant part in that rivalry.

And he told the Westmeath Independent that once it is Westmeath v. Meath then it will add to the occasion.

“There’s bound to be a bit of bite in that game,” stressed Dolan. “We’ll try and get some information on them.

“But it’s just one game at a time. It’s a Meath team. They’ll be decent and we’ll look forward to it.”
