County Final

The excitement is building up for the county final on Sunday October 13th at 3.30pm  and flags are appearing on houses.  People have been asking where flags can be bought. Jimmys Superstone on the Dublin Road and Croughans Supervalu on the Ballymahon Road have flags in stock.

The club extends deepest sympathy to the John Murray, Garrycastle and Marion Keena, Bliary on the death of their sister Sally Mulhern in Galway recently.

There has been plenty of action over the weekend.  On Saturday the under 9s and 10s went out to Clan na Gael and took part in their blitzes. While the under 10s found the going difficult the under 9s performed brilliantly to reach the final losing out to a Dublin team. By all accounts it was a great day’s football, well done all and thanks to Clan na Gael for inviting us.  Then on Sunday the last round of the street leagues were held.  While the weather conditions were tough it was great to see around 60 players playing matches and giving it their all.
