New York are All-Ireland junior football champions for the first time after edging out Kilkenny with a 0-13 to 1-9 victory at Croke Park this afternoon.
The Exiles built up a 0-7 to 0-3 half-time lead at headquarters, but their Leinster opponents got level thanks to a Mick Kenny goal a dozen minutes into the second-half.
Kilkenny would move two in front from there but Shay McElligot got New York on level terms twice down the home stretch, before centre-forward Brian Coughlan sent over the winning point with this effort:
