As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.
Keep an eye on https://twitter.com/harlesdenharps during the week for any changes to the match details.
Previous match:
We’re still on a high after achieving the holy grail of a Championship final win last week as we triumphed over St Clarets in the delayed 2020 Junior final in Ruislip. On a glorious sunny day as we showed top class commitment and game intelligence to win on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-07. It was the third Junior win for the club after previous wins in 1992 and 1996 and it was fitting that current captain Darren Lynch lifted the cup after his dad, Joe, did the same back in the ninties. Reliable Ryan McSheery top scored in the final with old-stager Ashley O’Halloran adding a classy 1-01, goalie Darren Murphy ‘Cluxtoning’ over a couple of long rangers, Dan Howlin, Jack McShane and marauding corner back Michael Keane all getting their names on the scoresheet as well. An historic day for the club and great to be back up in Intermediate after a one season absence.
Training:
Training continues every week taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, at 7:00pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). A physio will be there on Tuesdays for any niggles you may have. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.
