November 14, 2007
AN SRATH BÁN CUMANN MHIC SIOGHAIR C.L.G. Adult Football: The clubs Senior footballers played their final game of the season last Sunday at home to Greencastle which ended in a draw. That result and results elsewhere meant that Strabane are relegated to Division Three for the 2008 season. Whatever about all those ifs and buts, we must now go away and rebuild and prepare for next season. The club committee wish to pay their warmest thanks and deepest appreciation to all the players at adult level and a special word of thanks to the management teams and their assistants. Thanks to Liam Sweeney, Dermot Corry, Aidan McGrath, Johnny McHugh, Paddy Jack, Declan Houston, Niall Doherty, Pearse McGranaghan and Tom Brown. Thanks must also be paid to the loyal band of supporters who followed the club through thick and thin, we greatly appreciated your help and support. Everyone from the club committee right down to the supporters have a role to play in helping to play their part next season as the club attempts to get back out of Junior football for the first time since 1995. We urge you all to get behind the management and players in 2008, the task will not be easy but we have both the youth and experience to achieve greater things so lets all play our part.
