Tyrone Masters

November 10, 2009
The Tyrone Masters qualified for the All Ireland Quarter final with a good victory over Cavan under lights at Emyvale last Saturday night. Having defeated a strong Down outfit in the last round they came up against a Cavan team who included some of the players who will represent Ireland in the international series against Australia. From the outset Tyrone made the running and went ahead with some good scores with only a goal late in the first half keeping Cavan in touch at the break. It was more of the same in the second half. Tyrone pushes five points clear in what was turning out to be a tough, hard hitting encounter. A late penalty gave Cavan hope but the clock was against them and the final whistle saw Tyrone win 1-10 to 2-5 and go through to meet Roscommon this Sat 14th in Blacklion with a at 2pm kick-off. Tyrone Team: Danny O'Hagan, Brian Mc Callion, Gavan Mc Elroy, Kevin Bogle, Eamon Kavanagh, Raymond Munroe, Niall Kilpatrick, Fergal Gormley, Roddy Mc Kenna, John Mc Elholm, Mickey Cummings, Aidan Mc Gahan, Iggy Gallagher, Sean Darcy, Mickey Mc Cann. Subs: Hugh Quinn for John Mc Elholm, Nigel Mullin for Mickey Mc Cann, Francie Gallagher for Kevin Bogle. Training continues at Youth Sport, Omagh this Wednesday night at 7.30pm.
