Tyrone IFC semi-final abandoned as player suffers serious injury

October 31, 2021

Owen Roe's Tyrone IFC semi-final clash against Gortin St Patrick's was abandoned.

Best wishes have been expressed to a Tyrone club player who suffered a serious injury during the county IFC semi-final yesterday.

Ryan Devine from Owen Roe's sustained an ankle injury after eight minutes of their clash against Gortin St Patrick's at Healy Park.

The match, which was fixed as the curtain-raiser to the senior semi-final between Dromore and Trillick, was then abandoned by referee Fergal Ward as the player received treatment from Air Ambulance before being later taken to hospital.

It has now been rescheduled for the same venue next Saturday, 6 November at 7.30pm and admission will be free of charge with donations to the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland charity.
